As we welcome a new year, it’s also time to hit quit on bad skincare habits. A new year presents the opportunity to start fresh and incorporate key skincare practices that will set you up for a successful 2022.

Keep It Simple
The biggest flaw most people’s skincare routine has is that it consists of too many steps. Ingredients clash and conflict and our skin often can’t handle a lot of active ingredients all at once.
This year, pair down your routine. Cleanser, toner, serum, moisturizer, SPF, and a mask for special days is all you need.
Take Care of Your Body Skin
You take care of your face, neck, and chest twice daily, but what about the rest of your body? Don’t forget that your body skin also needs regular exfoliation and moisturization, especially places like our hands, feet, and elbows.
Next time you hop out of the shower make sure to lather your body in your favourite moisturizer. Maybe even give yourself a little massage while you’re at it.
Our skin takes time to show results, and no change is going to happen overnight. Stay consistent with your simple skincare routine and your skin will eventually show you it’s the happiest it’s ever been.
Don’t skip days, and definitely don’t go to bed with makeup on, and you’ll experience a happy glow soon enough.
Nothing makes for a clearer complexion than getting in a full night’s rest. It’s called beauty sleep for a reason! Sleep allows our body to rest and restore, and lack thereof can wreak havoc on our face in the form of acne, bags, and wrinkles.
So stick to that bedtime. It’ll reward you.
